Based in Manchester, we’re a multi-award winning, non-scripted, female-led TV production company set up by Sally Evans & Amanda De Freitas.

Salamanda was launched in May 2020 in the middle of a national lockdown and by the end of the year we had secured our first two commissions for major British broadcasters.

We're passionate about development and we love to produce TV shows that excite and inspire us! With over three decades of industry experience we're incredibly proud of our reputations for delivering high calibre factual, factual entertainment and formats that tell authentic, relatable stories that appeal to both the head and heart.

Since 2021 we’ve been part of Channel 4’s Indie Growth Fund and we have a first look distribution deal with All3 Media.

This year, we’re so proud to have won ‘Best Production Company’ at the Prolific North Awards and the RTS ‘Best Factual Entertainment Programme’ Award for our ITVBe series; Abbey Clancy Celebrity Homes.
